What does the pale horse in Revelation 6 signify?

The pale horse signifies famine and inflation. It pictures the result of wars among nations: massive destruction reduces food supply and distribution, causing tremendous inflation and food rationing. Earthquakes in diverse places also occur during this time, as Jesus described.

Les teaches that the pale horse is the third horseman of Revelation 6, and it indicates famine and inflation. As a result of the wars among the nations that Jesus speaks of, there will be a great dent in the food supply and distribution, and the world will end up in tremendous inflation and food rationing because of massive destruction. Then there are earthquakes in diverse places. Les also points out that earthquakes have increased greatly since about 1970, multiplying year by year, and that the news often does not record most of them because they have become so mundane. Earthquakes happen somewhere on the earth almost every day, which is what Jesus was talking about.

Revelation 6:8

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
