What will Israel's mindset be right before the Russian-led invasion in Ezekiel 38?

Israel will be complacent and feel secure, exalting in a treaty that guarantees her borders and removes the need for a massive army. She will have an almost Messiah-like atmosphere, believing she no longer has to fear her enemies, described as a land of unwalled villages with no visible defense.

Les explains that Israel’s mindset before the Russian-led invasion will be one of complacency and false security. Because an outside political and military power guarantees her sovereignty and safety, she will no longer be taxed to death to maintain a tremendous army and air force. Ezekiel calls this a land of unwalled villages, meaning the nation has no real visible defense. Les notes that this Northern Confederation of Nations, which he thinks will be headed up by Russia, will immediately take advantage of that fact. Today hardly anybody dares attack Israel because they know they would have a fight, but then they will realize Israel is complacent and has finally gotten an almost Messiah-like atmosphere in which they no longer fear their enemies.
