What does Scripture say about Russia's expected invasion west to the Atlantic, according to Les?
Scripture says that even though the world has waited for Russia to invade westward all the way to the Atlantic, the promise is that they will be turned back. The expected Russian invasion toward Western Europe and the Atlantic will not go as feared; Scripture declares they are turned back.
Les explains that during the Cold War, allied leaders were deathly afraid of a great Russian invasion of Western Europe. A friend who had consulted for the military told him the only recommendation was to get a neutron bomb ready fast, because the mass of Russian and East European troops facing NATO would be nothing but cannon fodder, and there was no way to stop them without such a weapon. Europe was constantly aware of that great Russian horde on its eastern borders. But Les points out that Scripture says even though the world has been waiting for them to invade toward the west and go to the Atlantic, Scripture says, "I'm going to turn you back." This, Les says, is exactly what he thinks we have here.
