Les Feldick Bible Study

What is the role of time frames in biblical prophecy?

Time frames give biblical prophecy a structured schedule. Prophecy always operates within a time frame, and God delineates the events that fall within it. For instance, a seven-year treaty with Israel triggers God's time clock, beginning the final seven years of prophecy, during which specific events unfold.

Les teaches that prophecy is always in a time frame, especially as God delineates the events that will fall within that time frame. The signing of a seven-year treaty with the nation of Israel, mentioned in Daniel chapter 9, triggers God's time clock and kicks it in gear, because that begins the final seven years of prophecy. This treaty guarantees Israel's borders, and the leader seems to be everything Israel's Messiah had promised: politically powerful, militarily backed, seemingly morally upright, and promising peace and prosperity. Shortly after that treaty, Les expects the red horse, which he equates with the Russian invasion or the Russians and the Gogs and Magogs of Ezekiel 38. He also directs attention to Matthew 24 on the way back to Ezekiel.
