What does 'manifested' mean in the Bible?

In Scripture, 'manifested' means something is brought into the spotlight, as under a microscope or bright light of magnification, so that things not ordinarily seen become visible. It describes being exposed or made clearly evident, and all will be manifested when we come into our place of glory.

Les explains that whenever the word 'manifested' appears in Scripture, it means something is brought under the bright light of a magnifying situation, like being placed in a spotlight or under a microscope. Things that are not ordinarily seen are suddenly revealed. He illustrates that something can exist but not be manifested until it is exposed. He also teaches that all this will be manifested when we come into our place of glory. In the surrounding passage, he notes that the creation was made subject to vanity, or the curse, not willingly, but because of Adam's fault. God promised a Redeemer in Genesis 3:15, the seed of the woman, Christ. Creation itself will be delivered from the bondage of corruption, the curse, into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
