Is the Son mentioned in the Old Testament?

Yes, the Son is mentioned in the Old Testament. Daniel 7:13 speaks of "one like the Son of Man," with "Son" capitalized, and Psalm 2 refers to the Son twice. Various other Old Testament places also mention Him, though He is not called Jesus there.

Les explains that he sometimes shocks people by telling them the Son is mentioned in the Old Testament. He ties the old and new together by holding Revelation chapter 5 and going back to Daniel chapter 7, verses 13 and 14, which use almost the same language John used in Revelation. In Daniel 7:13, the text says, "I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of Man," and the word Son is capitalized. Les also points to Psalm 2, where the Son is referred to twice in that little chapter, and notes various other places. He clarifies that we do not call Him Jesus in the Old Testament, because that is the name of His body of humiliation.

Daniel 7:13

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
