Is the way to heaven the same for people who die and for people who are raptured?

Yes. The same plan of salvation takes a person to glory whether by death and resurrection or by the rapture. It is not church membership, baptism, or repentance as a requirement, but believing the Gospel: that Jesus died and rose again. Scripture presents this as the only way to be assured of glory.

Les teaches that the plan of salvation is the same for everyone, whether a person goes to glory by way of death in the resurrection or by way of the rapture. Using I Corinthians 15, he says this is the clearest and simplest language for the plan of salvation, and it is the only way. He contrasts merely believing in God with believing God, which is being a man or woman of faith—doing what God has said and resting on it. Paul does not make repentance, baptism, or church membership the requirement; the requirement is believing the Gospel that Jesus died and rose again. Les stresses that this one way applies regardless of whether someone is Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, or anything else.
