What happens to believers who die before the rapture instead of being caught up alive?
Their body of flesh dies and is raised in resurrection power to new life. It is sown a natural body and raised a spiritual body; they enter eternity in flesh and bone, with the Spirit as their life source, possessing eternal life instead of the promised three score and ten.
Les teaches that if believers do not live to see the rapture and instead go by way of death, they have the blessed hope that the body will be raised to new life. The body of flesh must die and then be raised in resurrection power. As Paul says, it is sown a natural body but raised a spiritual body. Believers will not enter eternity in flesh and blood but in flesh and bone, with the Spirit as their life source. The outward features remain, but they have eternal life rather than the promised three score and ten. Just as Peter, James, and John recognized Moses and Elijah, believers will recognize loved ones and have full knowledge.
