Should the person in the field go back to get his clothes?
No, the person in the field should not return to take his clothes. Jesus said whoever is in the field must not turn back to take anything out of his house or clothes. When the temple is defiled, he is to flee to the mountains, because time will be of the essence.
Les teaches that the person in the field represents working people, probably younger people around 25 and older who are still doing the common everyday tasks of life. To that class Jesus says, don't you turn back to take anything out of your house or your clothes. Wherever you happen to be working, when you hear that the temple has been defiled, you move out to the mountains if you want to escape. Time is of the essence, so he should not go back for his clothes. This contrasts with the earlier class of wealthy people who were told not to stop and take clothes out of the closet.
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
