Where in the Bible is this figure named 'the Antichrist'?

The only biblical reference that calls this figure 'the Antichrist' is 1 John 2:18. There John writes, 'little children, it is the last time.' Other passages describe him as the man of sin, the vile person, or a prince that shall come, but this is the sole place the term itself appears.

Les teaches that although this man is referenced elsewhere as the man of sin, the vile person, or a prince that shall come, the only place in the Bible where he is called 'the Antichrist' is 1 John 2:18. There John writes, 'little children, it is the last time.' Les also points out that the writers of Scripture assumed the tribulation would follow shortly after the crucifixion, with no hint of the 2,000-year church age.

1 John 2:18

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
