Les explains that the Gentile empires of Daniel 7 have now been on human history for 2,600 years. In the passage, God the Son comes before the Ancient of Days, God the Father, and is given dominion, glory, and a kingdom. He is about to return to earth and smite these Gentile empires, which will disappear from view when He destroys them. He then sets up His kingdom, a dominion that shall not pass away because it is eternal. Les notes that this kingdom will be interrupted for a little while when Satan is released, but after the new heaven and new earth the kingdom continues on into eternity, and His kingdom is that which shall not be destroyed.
