Why do the particular Gentile empires in Daniel’s prophecy enter biblical prophecy?

The Gentile empires in Daniel enter biblical prophecy because they were directly and intricately involved with the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Unlike Russia, Germany, or Great Britain, which were not centered on Israel, these kingdoms came into prophetic focus through their dealings with Judah and Jerusalem.

Les explains that Russia, Germany, and Great Britain are not seen among Daniel’s prophetic empires because they were not centered with the nation of Israel. The kingdoms that come on the scene in Daniel were all intricately involved with the Jew, and that is why they come into prophecy. Daniel 1 illustrates this with Babylon: Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem and besieged it, and the Lord gave Jehiakim, king of Judah, into his hand, along with vessels from the house of God, which were carried to Shinar, back to Babylon.
