Is the current European union the revived Roman Empire in Bible prophecy?
Yes, according to the teaching, the present European unification is the revived Roman Empire of Bible prophecy, as a secular writer noted these nations were once together in the Roman Empire, and Scripture's Daniel and Revelation depict the same ten-horned, bestial government.
Les explains that a secular writer described Western Europe's hatreds, problems, and huge potential, then reminded readers that these nations were once together in the Roman Empire. He sees this as evidence that what is coming out of Europe now is the outline of that same old Roman Empire, just as Scripture said. He connects it to Revelation and Daniel, noting the ten horns and a bestial, totalitarian government with power like Nebuchadnezzar, swiftness and tenacity like the leopard empire of Alexander, and the residue of ancient Rome with a seeming democracy behind it, though the leader will be absolute. This whole thing is coming together perfectly, confirming Scripture's accuracy as we approach it.
