Why is Les scared by talk of disassembling the American military?
He is scared because the whole world looks with greed at what Americans have and wishes to possess it. Since past Gentile kingdoms were driven by greed to conquer, dismantling the military would leave America vulnerable to that same covetousness and aggression.
Les teaches that all these great Gentile kingdoms were precipitated and based on greed, not noble motives. He points to Alexander the Great, who grew up in poor Macedonia and, wanting more, prepared himself and became conqueror of the world. Then the Romans looked at Greek architecture and philosophers and said, "I want that," and went after it. Les says this same greedy pattern scares him when people talk about disassembling America's military, because the whole world sits out there with a greedy look, wishing it could have what Americans have.
