What does the kingdom of brass in Daniel 2 represent?

The kingdom of brass represents the next kingdom after the Mede and Persian Empire: the kingdom of Alexander the Great of Greece. It is described as bearing rule over all the earth, yet after Alexander conquered at age thirty-three he died, and his kingdom was divided between four generals.

Les explains that the head of gold was an absolute government of one, and then comes an inferior kingdom, the Mede and Persian Empire under Darius and Cyrus. Because two kings had to agree, it was harder to make political, military, or economic moves. Then the brass kingdom is the next kingdom from secular history: Alexander the Great of Greece. Les points out that as soon as Alexander completed his conquest at the age of 33, he died, and his kingdom was divided between four generals. The flow remains the same, and brass bears rule over all the earth.
