What is the battle in Zechariah 14 when all nations are gathered against Jerusalem?

The battle in Zechariah 14 is Armageddon, the last great battle, when all nations are gathered against Jerusalem. The city is taken and plundered, but then the Lord Jehovah goes forth to fight those nations at His second coming, and His feet stand on the Mount of Olives.

Les explains that Zechariah 14 is in the next-to-last book of the Old Testament and refers to the kingdom that follows Christ’s second coming. The gathering of all nations against Jerusalem is Armageddon, the last great battle. Jerusalem is taken, houses are rifled, women are ravished, and half the city goes forth. Then the Lord Jehovah goes forth to fight those nations as when He fought in the day of battle. This is the return of Christ, the second coming. His feet stand in that day on the Mount of Olives before Jerusalem—the same Mount of Olives He ascended from in Acts chapter 1, not another Mount of Olives in heaven, but right here on the earth.
