Is there a counterfeit trinity in Revelation?
Yes. Revelation presents a counterfeit trinity: Satan counterfeits God the Father, the Antichrist counterfeits God the Son, and the false prophet, the religious leader, counterfeits the Holy Spirit. This counterfeit trinity deceives those on earth through miracles, drawing worship to the Antichrist rather than to the true God.
Les teaches that throughout Revelation there is a counterfeit trinity. Satan is the counterfeit of God the Father, the Antichrist is the counterfeit of God the Son, and the false prophet—the religious leader—is the counterfeit of the Holy Spirit. Just as the genuine Holy Spirit draws people to God the Son, this counterfeit spirit causes people to worship the Antichrist, the counterfeit Son. The false prophet does great wonders, even making fire come down from heaven, and deceives those on earth by means of miracles. Unlike the Holy Spirit, who never deceives, this counterfeit uses signs to mislead humanity.
