What does Galatians 1-2 show about Paul's relationship with the twelve apostles?

Galatians 1–2 shows Paul had nothing to do with the twelve apostles in Jerusalem. His apostleship was distinct: he was called on Gentile ground outside Damascus, not within Israel, and was sent to the Gentiles, setting him totally apart from the twelve.

Les teaches that there was a drastic difference between the twelve apostles and Paul. Jesus chose the twelve within the borders of Israel, mostly up along Galilee, but Paul was called on Gentile ground outside Damascus. That sets him totally apart from the twelve. Les points out that if anyone doubts this, reading Galatians chapter 1 and chapter 2 carefully shows Paul emphasizes he had nothing to do with the twelve back there in Jerusalem. The Lord called him from Gentile ground and sent him to the Gentiles.
