How is Nebuchadnezzar's action in Daniel 3 connected to the Antichrist in Revelation?

Nebuchadnezzar set up a golden image and demanded that the whole then-known world worship it, seeking to unite pagan religions around himself. This action prefigures the Antichrist, the last great world ruler, who will do the same thing, making Daniel 3 a pattern that ties directly to Revelation.

Les teaches that Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2 was likely a catalyst for what he does in Daniel 3. He had forgotten what Daniel said and became filled with his own power and self, wanting to unite all those pagan religions into worship of one image, which would be of himself. Les explains that the last great world ruler, the Antichrist, is going to do the same thing, and that is what ties Daniel 3 together with Revelation. Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, 60 cubits high and 6 cubits wide, set it on the Middle Eastern desert sands, and demanded that his whole then-known world worship it.
