What was Daniel's Babylonian name?

Daniel's Babylonian name was Belteshazzar. His name was changed from the Hebrew to the Babylonian or the Aramaic name Belteshazzar. He is identified by this name when he is brought before King Nebuchadnezzar to make known the dream and its interpretation.

Les explains that in the account, when Daniel is brought before King Nebuchadnezzar, the king addresses him as Belteshazzar, noting that his name was changed from the Hebrew to the Babylonian or Aramaic name Belteshazzar. Daniel had received the revelation of the dream in a night vision, and Les emphasizes that this was the almighty sovereign God at work, not human happenstance. Daniel then testified before the king that there is a God whom Nebuchadnezzar knew nothing of, contrasting with the idolatry that had saturated the human race since the tower of Babel.
