How long did Jesus remain after His resurrection before He ascended to glory?

The risen Christ remained 40 days before His ascension to glory. The account says He had just spent 40 days with the Eleven in His resurrected body, and it was now about the day for Him to ascend back to glory.

Les teaches that after Jesus was crucified, buried, and risen from the dead, He spent 40 days with the Eleven in His resurrected body. At the end of that period, it was about the day for Him to ascend back to glory. The setting was the Mount of Olives with the Eleven, since Judas was gone. The Twelve's concern was whether He would restore the kingdom, but the Lord had promised they would rule the Twelve tribes of Israel from Jerusalem under His authority when the kingdom is set up. So the ascension came after that 40-day period.
