Why is God the Son about to return to earth?
God the Son is about to return to earth to smite the Gentile empires that have been on human history for 2,600 years. He will destroy them so they disappear from view, and then He sets up His eternal kingdom, a dominion that shall not pass away.
Les explains that God the Son comes before God the Father as He is about to return to earth to smite the Gentile empires that have been on human history now for 2,600 years. He is going to come and destroy them, and they are going to disappear from view. Then He sets up His kingdom, a dominion which shall not pass away; it is eternal. Les notes that it will be interrupted again when Satan is released for a little while, but then comes the new heaven and the new earth, and the kingdom just continues on into eternity. His kingdom is that which shall not be destroyed, where He has His rule and reign.
