What do numbers 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 signify in Scripture?

In Scripture, three signifies the Godhead, or deity; five is the number of grace; six is the number of man, because man was created on the sixth day; seven always signifies deity; and eight signifies that which follows the completion of number seven.

Les explains that numbers all have a value in Scripture. In the Revelation 17 context, he connects the seven heads to seven mountains—seven nations with seven prime ministers or kings—and the woman to the religious system. He notes there are seven kings: three have lost their identity, starting from ten, with three usurped by seven; one is, and the other is not yet come, and when he comes he must continue a short space. The beast that was is likened to the old Roman Empire, seemingly dead but returning, headed by the Antichrist, who is the eighth. Les then gives the number meanings: three refers to the Godhead, deity; five is grace; six is man, created on the sixth day; seven always refers to deity; eight refers to what follows the completion of seven.
