Les Feldick Bible Study

Why will Christ's future kingdom be so glorious according to Les?

Christ's future kingdom will be glorious because it is a kingdom of one, with Christ exercising absolute power. There will be no confabs and no consensus, unlike human governments bogged down by many decision-makers. That absolute, singular rule makes it a glorious kingdom.

Les explains that when Christ sets up His kingdom again, it will be so glorious because it will be a kingdom of one. He will have absolute power. There will be no confabs, no consensus. This contrasts with human governments: democracy is loved, but when getting something done, it is probably the worst conceived because of the number of people involved in decision-making. Human empires were weakened by many decision-makers. Nebuchadnezzar could have had such an empire only if he had God's love and graciousness, but no human has those attributes; he was a despot, a totalitarian with no concern for his subjects, though his decision-making was within himself.
