Does God read and know our thoughts?
Yes, God reads and knows our thoughts. The psalmist says He knows our thoughts like an open book, and nothing can be kept from Him; He knows our every thought. He saw and heard Nehemiah's silent prayer before the king, and granted permission to return to Jerusalem.
Les explains that Nehemiah was standing before the king, scared, and prayed silently. You don't have to be in a prayer closet, on your knees, or pray out loud. Les then asks if God reads our thoughts and answers, "You better believe it." The psalmist says God knows our thoughts like an open book, and there is nothing we can keep from Him—He knows our every thought. So God saw and heard Nehemiah's silent prayer, and as a result Nehemiah was given permission to go back to Jerusalem.
