What part of the Bible gives instructions for the Age of Grace?
The one section of Scripture giving all instructions for this Age of Grace is Romans through Hebrews, the writings of Paul. Paul writes to Gentile congregations, such as the Corinthians, so his letters apply directly to believers today, teaching that Christ died for all, was buried, and rose again.
Les teaches that to get into the area where we live today, in this Age of Grace, there is only one section of the Bible that gives us all its instructions: Romans through Hebrews, the writings of Paul. Paul wrote to the Corinthians, basically a Gentile congregation, so he can just as well be writing to us. Les points to Paul’s Gospel: that Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead, and that the love of Christ constrains us to live not for ourselves but for Him who died and rose again. He also notes that when Paul says “henceforth,” he means from his time onward, not looking back to earlier times.
