Where does the Euphrates River flow?
The Euphrates River flows from Turkey, travels through Iraq, and empties into the Persian Gulf. In the context of Genesis 15:18, it is called the great river and serves as the eastern boundary of the land God deeded to Abraham's seed.
Les explains that since Desert Storm, everyone is aware where the Euphrates River flows: it goes clear out to the east, coming out of Turkey and all the way around through Iraq and down into the Persian Gulf. He notes that everything between the Mediterranean Sea and that river was deeded by God to Abraham, as stated in Genesis 15:18.
