Why would Israel be scattered from one end of the earth to the other?

Because of their disobedience and unbelief, God foretold that Israel would be scattered from one end of the earth to the other. Deuteronomy 30 describes this scattering among all nations after the blessings and curses came upon them, but God promised to remember them, have compassion, and restore them from where He had driven them.

Les explains that God told Israel ahead of time that because of their disobedience and unbelief, they would end up scattered from one end of the earth to the other. In Deuteronomy 30, after all the blessings and curses had come upon them, they would call these things to mind among all the nations where the Lord had driven them. Then, when Israel had finally gone through the whole gamut of all the blessings and all the curses, God would remember them, turn their captivity, have compassion upon them, and return them from all the nations where He had scattered them. Les calls this the Palestinian covenant.
