How did God promise to bless Israel in the Old Testament when they were obedient?

In the Old Testament, God promised Israel that if they were obedient, He would bless them in every way, mostly material blessings. This blessing was conditional on hearkening to His voice and observing His commandments, and disobedience would bring curses instead.

Les teaches that Israel's Old Testament blessing was conditional. If they were obedient, God promised to bless them in every which way, mostly material. Chapter 28 shows the flip side: if they would not hearken to the voice of the LORD to observe and do all His commandments, then curses would follow—cursed in the city and field, in the basket and store, and by the fruit of the body and land. This contrasts with the age of grace, where God promises the believer only roof, clothes, and food, with the rest left to His grace.
