Where was the nation of Israel located during the events of Deuteronomy 7?

During the events of Deuteronomy 7, the nation of Israel was encamped on the deserts of Moab, on the east side of the Jordan River, just east of Jericho. They were positioned near Moab, where the king of Moab had attempted to hire a false prophet to curse the children of Israel.

Les explains that the nation of Israel is set out on the deserts of Moab, just on the east side of the Jordan River, just east of the city of Jericho. This is the setting as he returns to Deuteronomy chapter 7. The king of Moab, as seen last week, tried to hire a false prophet to curse the children of Israel. He did not totally succeed, but he did to a certain extent because he advised the Moabites to put their prettiest young ladies and their best-looking young men next to the Israelites and seduce them. Les also notes that after covering Israel's history, they will be ready for Daniel, and when they teach Daniel, they teach Revelation, Matthew, the whole nine yards.
