What did Les say is the basic problem with our nation?
The basic problem with our nation is that its people have lost all concept of the truth of God's Word. Because false teachers have come from every direction, the average believer and church member is confused, unable to distinguish right from wrong or sift out the rubbish.
Les explains that false teachers, like those described in 2 Peter chapter 2 and the book of Jude, are coming on the scene in the last days from every direction and in every hue and color. The average believer and church member today is totally confused, not knowing what is right or wrong, and cannot sift out all the rubbish. Les sees the nation in a dilemma, saying that basically the problem with our beloved nation is that its people have just lost all concept of the truth of God's Word. He then points to Balaam as an example of false teachers and their practices, who fellowship with church people while being filled with false teaching, adulterating the Word of God by mixing paganism with true biblical truth.
