Where was Kadesh located in the biblical land?

Kadesh was located in the southern part of what is now Israel, at the upper end of the Sinai Peninsula. This was the place from which the 12 spies were sent into the land. It sat at the southern edge of Israel, near the Sinai, in the biblical land.

Les explains, using a makeshift map on the board, that Kadesh was down at the southern part of what is now Israel and at the upper end of the Sinai Peninsula. He notes this is where they sent in the 12 spies, and as a result of their unbelief, God sent them back into the Sinai for 40 years of wanderings. The map also shows the Mediterranean Sea coast, the little land of Israel between the coast and the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea, Jericho just off the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem a few miles inland.
