What is the New Testament equivalent to the separation of Israel from Egypt?

The New Testament equivalent is the separation God places between the believer and the world, as Paul teaches in 2 Corinthians 6. Just as God divided Israel from Egypt, He draws a line of demarcation so the believer cannot serve two masters.

Les explains that just as God drew an invisible line around Goshen and set Israel apart from Egypt, there is a New Testament analogy. He points to Paul in 2 Corinthians chapter 6, where Paul gives the same set of directions. Les also notes Romans 15:4, that these Old Testament things were written for our learning. God puts a line of demarcation between the believer and the world, and He says you cannot serve two masters—you will either serve one and hate the other, or vice versa.
