What basic trinity does creation rest on?

Creation rests on a basic trinity of time, space, and matter. Remove any one of those three and the universe cannot function, since all things are matter moving through space within a given period of time. This threefold pattern appears throughout creation, even in water as liquid, solid, and gas.

Les explains that everything in creation rests upon trinities of sorts. Creation itself rests upon a basic trinity of time, space, and matter; take away any one of those three, and there is no universe. That is because the whole function is matter—whether planets, moons, or people—moving through space in a given period of time. He also uses water as an example: it can be liquid, solid, or gas, though he does not prefer calling that a trinity because the word normally points to the Godhead. Still, he says everything rests upon a three. He then connects this to Exodus, where God tells Moses and Aaron to have Israel go three days' journey out of Egypt, a picture of redemption and, he is quite sure, indicative of the resurrection.
