What things did Jesus tell John's disciples to report back to John?
Jesus instructed John’s disciples to go and tell John again what they heard and saw: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
Les explains that John sent two of his friends to find Jesus and ask whether He was the Christ or whether they should look for another. Jesus answered by telling them to go back and reinforce John’s knowledge with what they were hearing and seeing: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Les points out that Jesus performed these miracles to prove who He was, because the Jews require a sign; as 1 Corinthians 1 says, the Jews desire a sign.
