Who does all the preparation work in the book of Exodus?
In Exodus, the preparation work is done by the I AM—God the Son, Jehovah. He is the one who prepares, appearing as the pillar of fire and pillar of smoke, and everything in the tabernacle prefigures Christ's finished work.
Les teaches that in Exodus 3:15, Moses is clearly shown that the I AM, God the Son, Jehovah, is the one doing all the preparation work. He will be the pillar of fire and the pillar of smoke. Les explains that when we get to the tabernacle, every detail—the wood and gold of the Ark of the Covenant, the fence, the blocks, the hides covering the tent, the sacrifices, the priesthood, the Day of Atonement—is a picture of Christ and speaks of His finished work on the cross. The word propitiation from Romans 3 is lived out in all its fullness in every jot and tittle of that tabernacle.
And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
