How did the religious leaders of Israel treat Jesus during His earthly ministry?
During His earthly ministry, Israel's religious leaders constantly confronted Jesus, accusing Him of being an imposter and claiming He was demonic. They refused to give Him credit for who He was, and in John 8 they asked whether He was a Samaritan with a demon. Jesus denied the demon, honored His Father, and noted their dishonor.
Les teaches that this occurred during Christ's earthly ministry, when He was confronted by the Jews, especially the religious leaders of Israel, who were constantly accusing Him of being an imposter. They treated Him as supposedly demonic and would not give Him credit for who He was. In John chapter 8, they claimed He had a demon and even said He was a Samaritan and had a demon. Jesus answered that He did not have a demon, but honored His Father, and they dishonored Him. He did not seek His own glory.
