Did Moses see God bodily in the burning bush?

No. In the burning bush, Moses did not see God bodily as Abraham did in Genesis 18. The angel of the Lord appeared in a flame of fire, and the voice speaking from the bush was Jehovah, God the Son, but the context distinguishes this from a bodily appearance.

Les explains that Jacob spoke of 'the angel who redeemed me,' and Scripture has only one Redeemer, Christ. In the Old Testament He is Jehovah, the Son of God, the angel of God, the second person of the Trinity. At the burning bush, the angel of the Lord appeared in a flame of fire, and Les identifies the one in the bush as Jehovah, God the Son. Les does not think Moses saw Him bodily there as Abraham did in Genesis 18, yet the voice was still Jehovah's voice speaking from the bush. The bush burned but was not consumed, which Les says can picture Israel: constantly in the fires of judgment and targeted for obliteration, yet still on the scene.
