How long after Pentecost did Peter and the eleven keep presenting Israel with their king?

Peter and the eleven kept presenting Israel with their king for about seven years after Pentecost, or at least six years or better. They continued this appeal even though Israel had crucified him, because God raised him from the dead and he could still be their king.

Les explains that Acts chapter 7 is the sermon of Stephen, one of the six deacons appointed in Acts chapter 6, a man full of the Holy Spirit. Stephen, like Peter and the eleven, was appealing to the nation of Israel, trying to convince them that the one they killed was their Messiah. Les suggests this is about seven years after Pentecost, and for seven years or at least six or better, Peter and the eleven and the other believing Jews had been presenting Israel with their king. Even though they crucified him, God had raised him from the dead, and he could still be their king.
