What does it mean that God buries His servants but never His program?
God's servants are mortal and eventually die, but His program continues uninterrupted. Great men of God come and go, yet the program God established keeps moving forward. Genesis ends with Joseph in a coffin, showing even faithful leaders pass away, but God's purposes and promises do not end with them.
Les explains this at the close of Genesis, where Joseph dies at 110 years old, is embalmed, and is put in a coffin in Egypt. Genesis, the book of beginnings that starts with "in the beginning God created," ends with a coffin and death. Yet Les says to always remember that God buries His servants, but never His program. He notes that great men of God come and go, but God's program just keeps moving on. Les also admits the statement is not original with him; he has read it from several authors and does not know who originally said it. Then the study moves into Exodus.
