Which descendants of Joseph was he alive to see?

Joseph lived 110 years and was alive to see Ephraim's children of the third generation. He also saw the children of Masher, the son of Manasseh, who were brought up upon Joseph's knees, as recorded in Genesis chapter 50, before his death in Egypt.

Les explains that Genesis chapter 50 records Joseph dwelling in Egypt with his father's house and living 110 years. Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation; Ephraim, Les notes, was one of Joseph's sons. Joseph also saw the children of Masher, the son of Manasseh, who were brought up upon Joseph's knees. Later Joseph told his brethren that he was dying, that God would surely visit them and bring them out of Egypt to the land sworn to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Joseph died at 110, was embalmed, and was put in a coffin in Egypt. Les points out that Genesis ends with a coffin, death, but God buries His servants and never His program.
