Where is Paddan Aram located and who lived there?

Paddan Aram is located in Syria, the region where Abraham's relatives had been left off years earlier. Jacob traveled there, and after twenty years he returned with his wives Rachel and Leah, their handmaids' children, and his eleven sons. Benjamin was born later.

Les explains that Jacob went up to Syria, back to where Abraham's relatives had been left off years earlier, specifically to Paddan Aram. Twenty years later Jacob returned with his two wives, Rachel and Leah, who each had children by their handmaids. He came back with his eleven sons; Benjamin would be born after his return. Ten years after Jacob came back to Canaan, Rachel died in childbirth with Benjamin. Later Jacob reunited with Isaac in Beersheba, and Isaac died at 180 when Jacob and Esau were 120.
