How old was Isaac when he married Rebekah?
Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah. The timeline shows Isaac born when Abraham was 100, then marrying Rebekah at age 40, and 20 years later, at age 60, the twins Jacob and Esau were born. This is drawn from the scriptural chronology.
Les explains the time element: Abraham received his call around 2,000 B.C., perhaps at age 50, then went to Haran and into Canaan at 75. Ishmael was born when Abraham was 86, and Isaac was born when Abraham was 100. Isaac married Rebekah at 40, and 20 years later, when Isaac was 60, the twins Jacob and Esau were born. Later, when Isaac was 75, Abraham died at 175.
