Will Israel return to the original Mosaic Law or to a later version?
Israel will return to the Law, but not in its original purity as given by Moses. Rather, it will be a later version, comparable to Judaism at the time of Christ, which had become adulterated. This return includes temple worship.
Les explains that Israel is getting ready to go back under the old Mosaic Law, but not in its purity as Moses gave it. Instead, it will be as it was perhaps at the time of Christ. He notes Judaism was pretty well adulterated, which is why Jesus made such an ado over the temple carryings on. They will go back under the Law and have temple worship. At the midpoint of the last seven years, the temple will be desecrated, the abomination, and then great tribulation follows.
