Les Feldick Bible Study

Who is represented by the person working in the field?

The person working in the field represents the younger generation of Jews, specifically those aged 25 to 45, both men and women, engaged in everyday labor such as field work and construction. They are part of the cross-section of Jews in Jerusalem and Judea who are told to flee without returning for clothes.

Les explains that the person working in the field represents younger people, the age group from 25 to 45, both men and women, who do the everyday labor of field work and construction. This is not the 144,000 but a cross-section of Jews in the area of Jerusalem and Judea. In contrast to the older, retired, wealthier people on the housetop patio who are told to get down without taking anything, the younger workers in the field are told not to return even to get their clothes. Both groups must flee when the Antichrist defiles the temple.
