What seven-year covenant does the Antichrist make in Daniel 9:27, and with whom?

Daniel 9:27 describes the Antichrist, the prince that shall come, confirming or making a covenant with many—specifically many Jews who will be back in the land. This seven-year covenant is a peace treaty with Israel, and its signing triggers the final unfulfilled seven years of Israel's prophecy.

Les explains that Daniel's prophecy concerning Israel totals 490 years. Of those, 483 years were fulfilled at the crucifixion, leaving seven years unfulfilled. Those seven years are triggered by the signing of a peace treaty between the Antichrist and Israel. In Daniel 9:27, this man Antichrist, the prince that shall come, confirms or signs or makes a covenant with many—that is, with many Jews who will be back in the land. He makes that covenant for one week, seven years. The minute they sign that seven-year peace treaty, Israel will lay down her defenses. Les also feels the Antichrist will come out of the revived Roman Empire, seen as Western Europe or a United States of Europe, though others think he may come from the Arab or Muslim world. Any Middle East peace before that will be makeshift and will not last.

Daniel 9:27

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
