When does the restrainer hold back the Antichrist?

The restrainer holds back the Antichrist until the right time—just before the church is taken out of the way at the end. He prevents the Antichrist from usurping the power he will have for the next seven years until that appointed moment arrives.

Les explains that as the end comes and the church is taken out of the way—or just before that removal—there must be a person who holds back the man Antichrist from usurping the power he will have for the next seven years. He must hold it until the right time. Paul writes that the mystery of iniquity is already at work, but the one who now hinders will continue to restrain until that time.

2 Thessalonians 2:7

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
