When is a believer sealed with the Holy Spirit?

A believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit after believing, not after joining a church, completing catechism, being baptized, or becoming a communicant. This sealing occurs at the moment of faith, as part of the Pauline doctrine of the Holy Spirit's indwelling.

Les teaches that the sealing with the Holy Spirit does not come after joining a church, going through catechism, being baptized, or becoming a communicant. It comes after believing. He explains that this is new Pauline doctrine, not taught in the Old Testament or in Christ's earthly ministry. In this age, a believer is not only sealed by the Holy Spirit but also indwelt by Him. Les stresses that Paul writes to believers, and in Ephesians 2:1 he describes them as having been made alive, though they were spiritually dead. Les illustrates spiritual death with a car battery that is dead and useless, showing the need for regeneration.
