Are believers who are in Christ sealed by the Holy Spirit?
Yes. Scripture teaches that those who are in Christ have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. The context states that if one is in Christ, as seen in Ephesians, he has been sealed by the Spirit, and if believers are in Christ, the Holy Spirit is in them. This mutual indwelling—we in Him, He in us—is the secret.
Les explains that being in Christ is the secret, and if we are in Christ, the Holy Spirit is in us. He points to Ephesians, where believers are sealed by the Spirit. Les emphasizes the mutual indwelling: we are in Him, and He is in us. He contrasts this with the earthly ministry of Jesus to Israel, stating that our salvation is not based on that ministry. Instead, it is concerned with the Christ of the cross, resurrection power, and the Christ seated at the right hand of the Father. Les finds this mind-boggling.
