What name did Abraham call on at Beersheba?

Scripture records that at Beersheba Abraham called on the name of the Lord, identified as Jehovah, God the Son, the everlasting God. In Hebrew this is Elohim Olam, meaning the everlasting God. Thus the name he called on was Jehovah.

Les explains that Abraham dug the well at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the Lord. Les reminds us that the capitalized L-O-R-D is always Jehovah, God the Son, who is Christ of the New Testament. Abraham called on Jehovah, the everlasting God, which in the Hebrew is Elohim Olam. Elohim is the plural word for God, and Olam is translated with three different meanings. Les ties this to grace, showing that God can act because He is the everlasting God.

Genesis 21:33

And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.
